KARA MARINO, LPC
OWNER & THERAPIST
I’ve always been fascinated by human behavior and the inner workings of the brain—why we do the things we do, how we respond to life’s challenges, and what it takes to find peace and balance in the face of adversity. Early on in life, I was very observant, quietly listening and reflecting on the emotions and struggles of those around me. When it came time to select a career path, it felt natural to me to step into this role, offering support and understanding.
My journey into the world of therapy stems from personal experiences that align closely with the areas I now focus on in my practice. I’ve walked the path of navigating ADHD and anxiety, experienced the complexities of relational trauma, and witnessed the weight of postpartum anxiety and depression. I know firsthand how isolating and overwhelming these challenges can feel, and I believe deeply in the power of therapy to provide hope, healing, and a renewed sense of safety and trust in life.
At Peaks and Valleys Behavioral Health, my goal is to be that safe space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered. Together, we’ll explore the highs and lows of your experience, working through the difficult moments and celebrating the breakthroughs. I’m here to guide, support, and help you uncover the tools you need to move forward, with the belief that no matter how deep the valley, there’s always a peak in sight.
